Surokkha Guide is an independent, unofficial English-language information website about vaccine registration, vaccination certificates and personal health records in Bangladesh. We write for people living in Bangladesh, for Bangladeshis living abroad, and for the many migrant workers who need clear, reliable answers before they travel. Our job is simple: explain processes in plain English, point you to the right official place, and help you avoid mistakes and scams along the way.
We are not a government service. We cannot register you, issue a certificate, download one for you, correct your details or verify a document. For every one of those actions, the only place to go is the official portal at surokkha.gov.bd or the health office or vaccination centre that the official system directs you to.
Why this site exists
When people search for help with "surokkha registration" or ask how to download or check a vaccine certificate, the results can be confusing. Some pages are years out of date. Some copy text from one another without checking whether it is still correct. Others are designed to look official while asking for personal details, charging a "service fee" for something that is free, or promising a certificate that has not been earned. None of that helps someone who simply wants to understand what to do next.
We started Surokkha Guide because we saw how much stress small misunderstandings can cause. A spelling difference between a National ID card and a passport can hold up a visa application. A worker about to leave for a job abroad may not know which documents a recruiter, an embassy or an airline might ask for. A parent may have lost track of a child's immunization card and not know where to start. Plain-English explainers, written carefully and kept up to date, can save people time, money and worry.
English also matters. Many people in the Bangladeshi diaspora, and many employers, embassies and travel agents abroad, read English more comfortably than Bangla. A clear English explanation can help a family member overseas guide a relative at home, or help an employer understand what a Bangladeshi vaccination certificate is and how its authenticity is normally checked.

- Written and reviewed by named people whose backgrounds you can read on their profile pages.
What Surokkha Guide is not
- We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Government of Bangladesh, DGHS, a2i or the official Surokkha platform.
- We are not a registration service, an agent or a middleman. We do not "process" anything on anyone's behalf.
- We do not collect National ID numbers, birth registration numbers, passport numbers, phone numbers, one-time passwords (OTPs) or dates of birth. There are no forms on this website.
- We do not issue, download, print, correct or verify vaccine certificates, and we never will.
- We are not a medical service. Our content is informational only and is not a substitute for advice from a qualified health professional.

What we cover
Our guides are organised into three areas:
- Registration and certificates: how vaccine registration generally works, which identity documents are commonly used, how certificates are usually downloaded, and what to do if your details are wrong. A good starting point is our step-by-step registration guide.
- Travel documents: what airlines, embassies and employers may ask for, how certificate verification through a QR code typically works, and practical advice for migrant workers preparing to go abroad.
- Vaccination and health: routine childhood immunization, the difference between a vaccine card and a vaccine certificate, and adult vaccinations to discuss with your doctor. Parents often begin with our guide to the childhood immunization schedule.

How we work
Every guide starts with research against primary sources: the official portal, the Directorate General of Health Services, the World Health Organization, UNICEF and, for travel health, the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Our lead writer drafts the article, our health content editor fact-checks it against the official portal, DGHS, WHO and UNICEF, and a final fact-check pass confirms that each claim is supported. Each guide shows a "Last reviewed" date, and we revisit guides on a regular schedule and whenever we learn that an official process has changed.
We want to be precise about that last step. Fact-checking means comparing each statement with official and authoritative sources; it is not a medical review. Our guides are not reviewed by a medical professional, so please confirm any health decision with a qualified doctor or health worker. We plan to add a qualified clinical reviewer in future and will say so clearly if we do.
Because official steps, eligibility rules and web addresses can change without notice, we write in general terms and always recommend confirming details on the official portal. How the site is funded
Surokkha Guide is currently self-funded by the people who run it. We do not display advertising and we do not use affiliate links. No organisation pays us to publish, rank or recommend anything. If that ever changes, we will label it clearly and update our advertising disclosure and affiliate disclosure before any change goes live. Editorial decisions will always remain separate from any commercial arrangement.
Our commitment to your privacy
Vaccination records contain sensitive personal information, so we have built this website to avoid handling it at all. We never ask you to type in an ID number, a phone number or a code. We do not run accounts or logins. If you email us, please do not include your National ID, birth registration or passport number, your date of birth or a copy of your certificate; we do not need them to answer a general question. Our privacy policy and cookie policy explain the limited technical data involved in visiting any website.
